This Weekend Was Great!
As I expected, this weekend was great but I'm exhausted!
Yesterday Jack and I drove over to AEM so I could give Clare (one of the girls that I work with) the money for the bread that I bought from her for her daughter's kindergarten fundraiser. However, she wasn't there and I'd forgotten the keys to the accounting department, so that didn't work out too well. I would've put the money under the door, but the cleaning people were there and I didn't trust them to not take it all that much. I called her, but she wasn't going to be there for a while and we were in a hurry, so she and I decided I'd give it to her on Monday. I just hope I don't forget again. I already feel so bad!
After that, Jack and I drove to Wendy's and then to the Scottrade Center. There we saw the Gymanstics Superstars. It was great! I just adore Shawn Johnson! She's so adorable!
Then we came home for about five minutes and then left for Kansas City. When we got there, we went out to dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse, where I had a Raspberry Margarita and White Cheddar Bacon Filet with a Baked Potato with Butter and Cinnamon. It was fantastic! It may have been the best steak I've ever had!
We stayed at the Super 8. It was a really nice hotel! As soon as we got back to the hotel, I passed out and then got up at 8 this morning. We got ready and left for Arrowhead Stadium. On the way, we picked up McDonald's for breakfast.
We got to park really close and the seats were fantastic! I had such a good time! Jack was so cute and so excited too!
Our drive was really great too. Jack got to talk to Jeff for a while and it was very good for them to catch up. Then he and I had a nice long talk. It was so nice to spend time with my husband without any distractions! I'm so lucky to be his wife and I completely adore him!
So that's our weekend. Tomorrow I have to wake up early (which is 6:30 am) so I can go for a blood test for my thyroid issue and then go to the doctor later on this week. Hopefully he will also tell me why it really hurts under the rib cage on my left side every time I take a deep breath or sneeze. I'm worried, although I'm sure it will be ok.
